To be honest, every single online sportsbook will offer accumulators. It’s a pretty standard offering across the board. Accumulators are so popular that if a bookie didn’t offer it, they wouldn’t be around for very long. We’ve done our research though, so if you want to play all types of accas or just want a simple accumulator bet, check out one of the bookies from our list above.

A Betfair Accumulator is All You Need

betfair acca edge

If you’ve not had the pleasure of placing a Betfair accumulator, you’re missing out. Their sportsbook is so simple to use when placing accas that even a complete novice would have no problem with it. You just find what you want to bet on and click on the selection. That will then add the selection to your betslip. You can then continue to add selections to build an accumulator.

Please note, however, that if you see some enhanced odds, you can’t then add a few of those to a multiple bet. It doesn’t work like that sadly as that’s a promotion separate from an accumulator. You can only add original prices to an acca. Doubles, trebles, 4 folds, 5 folds, 6 folds, super Heinz, you name it, Betfair will work out all of the possibilities for you. If it shows up in your betslip as an option, you can bet on it.

What is Acca Edge?

Good question. It’s a very popular product feature from Betfair and they launched it a few years ago now. Essentially, it’s acca insurance. They’ve just added a fancy name for it.

Ok, so say you want to do a sports betting accumulator. A football accumulator for argument’s sake. For Acca Edge to even become available, you must add three or more selections to your betslip. It must be at least a treble bet. For example, you want to add in Liverpool to win, Chelsea to win, and Manchester United to win their respective games. You might get initial odds of 4/1. By applying Acca Edge, your odds will drop slightly, to maybe 3/1, but you will then get your stake back if one of the selections lets you down. You don’t have to apply Acca Edge, it’s completely up to you, but it’s a nice option to have.

Enjoy Footy Accumulators with a William Hill Accumulator

william hill bet boost

Another bookie who is great for accumulator bets and solid accumulator odds is William Hill. Hills is one of the best accumulator betting sites around. Not only can you place all of the usual combinations bets as with many other online sportsbooks, but they also have their own little unique feature for accas called Bet Boost. Boost your acca if you have three or more selections.

What’s worth noting here is that it’s available for a football and horse racing accumulator only. So, say you’ve got a fourfold accumulator on the NBA, that won’t be eligible for a bet boost sadly. But all you need to do is add your selections to a William Hill betslip to create your accumulator. Then you’ll see some blue text with a yellow background. Just hit that button and your price will be boosted.

Another handy accumulator tip at Hills is that they have a ‘Top Bets’ section. The William Hill choices here will be the events that have the most bets placed on them. They’re more often than not dominated by football and horse racing bets.

Accumulator Betting Sites – What to Look Out For

Acca Bonus Winnings vs Acca Insurance – What One Should You Choose?

You can’t have both, let me tell you that for starters. What you’ll need to weigh up at accumulator betting sites is whether it’s worth claiming a £10 free bet as part of acca insurance if your multiple bet has a huge potential payout. I think the answer to that is no, it’s not worth having acca insurance for. So you’d go for bonus on your winnings in this instance. On the flip side, you probably would take acca insurance over a winnings bonus if the odds are pretty short.

So, when choosing between acca insurance or acca bonus winnings, it will ultimately come down to the size of your accumulator odds.

While we’re on the subject of acca insurance…

Acca Insurance – Who Does it Best?

There are a fair few new betting sites and your more established bookies offering acca insurance. The likes of Betfair, Boylesports, BetVictor, and Paddy Power all offer, or have offered in the past, acca insurance offers on your bets. But there’s a new kid on the block who offers good value with their UK accumulator insurance bonus. They are STSBet. Or STS as they prefer to be known by.

sts extra 6+ acca insurance

Their Extra 6+ promotion is simple. However, it’s only available on football accas, so if you’re already thinking about an each way accumulator on the horses, forget it. Follow these steps and you can’t go wrong:

  1. Sign up or with STS or log into your STS account.
  2. Place a multiple football bet between £2 and £250 on six or more football matches pre-play or in-play.
  3. Make sure the odds of each selection is 3/5 (1.6) or higher.
  4. Receive 100% of your stake back as a free bet if one selection lets you down.
  5. You’ll have 14 days to use that STS free bet token.

As with any betting bonus, there are a lot more terms attached, so please have a read of those on our STS review page.

Different Types of Accumulator Bets

At the best betting sites for accumulators, you’ve got your singles, doubles, and trebles, but a multiple bet isn’t really called an accumulator until it starts hitting four selections or more. The bets with two or three selections work in the same way that’s for sure, but they go by different names as demonstrated in the table below.

Selections Bet Type
2 Double
3 Treble
4 4 Fold
5 5 Fold
6 6 Fold
7 7 Fold
8 8 Fold

Once the number of selections begins to creep up, the types of bets available increases. You have more options than a simple accumulator; a Lucky 63, a Heinz, a Super Heinz, a Goliath bet. We won’t explain these here, but we do have a betting guide that does explain each and every bet type, so make sure you check that out if you want to understand more about the different types of bets you can place.

How to Calculate Accumulator Odds – Multiple Bets Explained

It’s done automatically for you, but if you ever wanted to know how they work it out, they simply multiply each selection’s decimal odds to get the total odds. You could even use an old free bet calculator online somewhere, just do a quick Google search and one will come up. It’s sometimes good to use an each way accumulator calculator online if you fancy a bet on the horse racing and need to place it in a shop rather than online.

Let’s give you an example of how accumulator odds are calculated using a £5 stake.

Decimal odds calculation:

Total Returns = 5 x 1.5 x 1.4 x 5 x 3 = £145

Total Profit = Total Returns – Initial Stake. That comes to £140 as your stake was £5.

The fractional odds calculation would be:

Total Returns = 5 x (1/2 + 1) x (2/5 + 1) x (4/1 + 1) x (2/1 + 1) = £145

Simple, right? It’s good that online betslips do the hard work for you.

If you’ve read this far, you know that there are already plenty of options for you when it comes to finding a bookie to place an accumulator bet. The list doesn’t really change when talking about football betting. Or any other sport for that matter. Any of those in the list at the start of this accumulator betting sites page will be great for a football acca.

If you’re on the lookout for football accumulator tips or even football accumulator tips for this weekend, we don’t offer any in terms of specific games to bet on. However, our advice would be to research which bookmakers offer the best odds for what you want to bet on.

Live In-Play Accumulator Bets – Live Betting Equals Better Odds

Placing in-play multiple bets is something that a lot of punters are doing these days. It’s a great way to potentially enjoy better odds.

All of the best UK bookies have live in-play football or other sports for you to bet on. You can also add selections to a betslip in-play and place an in-play acca. But what’s the difference between doing it live compared to pre-match? The odds are the answer here. If a fav goes behind in a football match early on, their odds are going to drift slightly even if it’s Spurs vs Barnet for example. You would still expect Spurs to turn it around and win the game. These kinds of moments are great for in-play accumulator bets as you have the chance to enjoy better odds, thus resulting in a better payout if your multiple bet wins.

Furthermore, it’s also a good chance to utilise the cash out feature. A lot of sportsbooks offer cash out on accumulators. If you back a few sides who have gone behind early in a game in a footy acca and one or two of them equalise, your cash out offer is likely going to be higher than your stake.

As we touched on earlier, there are even some UK bookmakers who give you the chance to edit your acca whilst it’s in-play! Ladbrokes and bet365 are two prime examples. You can edit your acca with Ladbrokes by removing one of the selections that’s letting you down. Your odds will reduce but your accumulator will have a better chance of winning than if you kept the losing selection in there.

As for bet365, their edit bet feature utilises the bet365 cash out functionality. When you edit a bet with them, your existing one is cashed out and the system places a bet for you with the edited selections using the cashout figure as the stake. It will disregard the initial odds of your bet and place the next bet at the current odds available. And it’s different from Ladbrokes in that you can make multiple changes to the bet365 acca. Just bear in mind that the odds will change, but you can add or remove as many selections as you like. It’s a great betting feature for the punter as it allows you to have more control over your bets.

Accumulator Betting Sites – Mobile Acca Betting Made Easy

As we move towards a mobile-first way of betting, the ability to easily place accas on the move is of paramount importance to the punter. If you can’t get a bet on easily while on the go, you’re probably going to bet elsewhere. Bookies understand this, which is why all of the top online sportsbooks have a great mobile betting app or mobile betting site that allows you to place an acca with ease.

As for the best betting apps in the UK, that’s up for debate as some punters prefer one bookie to another just for the colours and ease of use with certain things. What we will say, though, is that any of the accumulator betting sites listed on this page are great for accumulator betting on mobile or tablet devices. Check out our mobile betting page for more info on the best mobile betting apps. The likes of Betfair, 888Sport, and bet365 feature heavily.

Accumulator Betting Sites FAQs

Which bookmaker has the best odds for accumulators?

It depends on what you want to bet on. Betfair claim to have the best odds for Premier League football and Unibet claim to have the best odds for MMA betting. If you have a few betting accounts, it’s probably worth building your acca with each one to see who offers the best odds before placing your bet.

Which betting app is best for accumulators?

There’s not one mobile betting app that sticks out as the very best in the market. Everyone has a different preference based on a number of factors. But what we can say is that you won’t go wrong using any of the bookies listed on this page for mobile accumulator betting.

How is an accumulator bet calculated?

A multiple bet is calculated by simply multiplying the odds of each selection. We’ve given you an example on this page that explains it easily.

Do sports betting sites have an accumulator bet calculator?

Online sports betting sites do not need an accumulator bet calculator for you to use as everything is calculated automatically. As soon as you start to add more than one selection to your betslip, the odds on a double, a treble, a four-fold and so on are automatically calculated in the betslip. You’ll never need to use your own maths to work out a bet if you’re placing it online.
