In 2020 it is the turn of Royal St George’s to host the Open Championship again. The last year they hosted in 2011 it was Darren Clarke who secured an emotional win. A links course, the weather can play havoc and if the winds get up anything can and does happen. It is not a particularly long course but accuracy is crucial and if weather is poor it becomes even more important.
Brooks Koepka is the 2nd favourite at odds of 11/1 with Paddy Power, who are already offering an extra place (6) for each way wagers. He does look a lot more solid than the top player in the betting, Rory McIlroy. His major record is woeful in recent seasons and after his poor Portrush display he looks way too short at 12/1.
