The 2020 Grand National revolves around one super horse. Tiger Roll is being aimed at the race again this year and it would take a brave person to oppose him for his hat trick bid. Match/Group Betting
Another nice way to bet on the Aintree Grand National is in the match betting or group betting markets. These markets are formed when bookmakers price up a mini market between two horses or more. If you back one of the horses in the group he or she simply has to beat the other horse or horses for you to win. So if you back a horse in a match bet with another Grand National horse and your selection finishes 28th, you’ll need the other horse to finish 27th or lower to win.
Number Of Finishers
As we have already stated more than once, picking the Grand National winner is akin to finding a needle in a haystack. If you really haven’t got a clue and you don’t feel like sticking a pin in the field, betting on the number of finishers is a nice alternative. You don’t need to predict the finishing order; you just need to predict how many runners will finish the race. This market is usually split into brackets e.g. 11-15 finishers, 16-20 finishers, 21-25 finishers etc. The lowest number of finishers was 2 in 1928 while the most was 23 in 1984.
