Unibet MMA Betting – The Best UFC and MMA Odds

unibet banner and logo

The state exactly that on their site – Unibet Sportsbook offers the best UFC and MMA odds. So if you’re looking for value, look no further than Unibet for UFC betting. They cover other organisations too such as Bellator, Glory, and Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki (KSW).

For most fights, you’ll see only a few markets, which is enough to be honest if you’re just wanting to place a UFC acca or something like that. But on the bigger fights, Unibet offers more markets to give the punter more choice. We’ll explain the different types of MMA markets further on.

Unibet MMA Welcome Promo – A £40 Money Back as a Bonus on Your First Bet

It’s not just an MMA welcome bonus, it’s a bonus that can be used on any sport. And it’s a good one. Well, in fact, looking at the T&Cs, horse racing and greyhounds are excluded.

There’s nothing worse than having a bet and it loses. We’ve all been there. I hope. Otherwise, you probably wouldn’t be reading this. But what Unibet offer is a money-back special up to £40. So, say you backed Stipe Miocic to beat Daniel Cormier and Cormier won, you’d get your stake back up to a maximum of £40. As always, there are key terms to be aware of, such as the minimum odds being 2/5 (1.40) and you have to bet your money back bonus a total of three times before you can withdraw any winnings. Again, always have a good read of those before committing to the bonus offer.

MMA Betting at Betfair – All the Best Fights and More!

betfair mma odds

It’s taken a little while, but Betfair has certainly upped their game when it comes to MMA betting in recent years. They were much like every other sports betting site in the past, offering big fights with a couple of markets. Nowadays, they’re one of the very best MMA betting sites, offering numerous markets and a hell of a lot of fights.

McGregor vs Khabib, they had it. They actually have a future betting market too in case the Conor McGregor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov rematch ever happens. McGregor vs Mayweather? They even had this at one point when Floyd was toying with the idea of a fight with the Irishman in the octagon. They cover all of the big fights as well as most of the other fights on a UFC card, whether that’s UFC 231, UFC 234, or even a UFC London card, whatever UFC fight night it is, they will have odds on them all.

When there’s a great main event, they do offer enhanced odds on occasions to entice new customers in. They might even price boost some odds for existing customers too. So it doesn’t matter if you’re a loyal customer at Betfair or completely new, there’s something for everyone.

Betfair New Customer Offer – £100 in Free Bets as a Welcome Bonus

If you don’t yet have a Betfair account, why not? They’re giving away free bets as a signup offer that you need to take advantage of! All you need to do is sign up at Betfair as a new customer, enter the Betfair promo code ZBBC01, and you’ll be rewarded with some free bets based on the key terms of the Betfair new customer promotion.

It couldn’t be any easier to understand. In simple terms, place single bets od £10 or more to receive a £20 free bet from Betfair. You can bet on MMA, bet on boxing, bet on basketball, whatever you wish. There are no restrictions in terms of sport. Repeat the process at a total of five times in order to receive the max bonus offer of £100 across 5x £20 free bets. As always though, make sure you read the T&Cs before diving in.

MMA Betting Promotions and Free Bets

When a big MMA night is coming up, all of the top bookies in the UK will offer some sort of promotion. Whether it’s enhanced odds, money back specials or just some extra unique markets, there’s always something for everyone. But what you need to check out is whether one bookie’s promo is better than the other. We’ve got all of the new UK bookies and the more established ones too listed right here at My Betting Bonus, so you can find out who has the best odds and promos just by having a read through our reviews.

With the promos being different at MMA betting sites, let’s run you through some examples of MMA betting promotions if you’re to have a bet on some of the action.

  1. Enhanced MMA Betting Odds – These are mainly on offer when a big fight comes around or a main event on a UFC card. Maybe a Jose Aldo UK card against an English guy in London. That would probably see some enhanced odds. Likewise if Justin Gaethje headlined an event. He’s a big fighter these days. Or event some historical events like Bellator 200 or UFC 244. You’ll find enhanced odds for these too.
  2. MMA Money Back Specials – Free bets if your bet loses. Sadly bookies don’t offer real cash back, but free bets are still ok. Again, these only tend to appear for a big event, but an example might be if you’ve backed Amanda Nunes to win and she loses or put money on a McGregor fight, and it hasn’t come in. Money back as a free bet is a nice consolation prize if you like.
  3. MMA Bet Boosts – Some bookies offer a boost whereby a price is boosted on an acca. A bit like enhanced odds but it’s different for every punter rather than being universally the same. William Hill does this well by price boosting your acca if you’ve added three selections or more.
  4. MMA Free Bets – You might come across MMA free bets as part of a welcome promo or some bookies may give out some free bets if punters back a certain selection and it loses. Free bets are always available in some form or another, so keep your eyes peeled.
  5. MMA Acca Insurance – This was a very popular promo a few years ago, but not many bookies offer acca insurance now. Betfair do though. They’ve disguised it cleverly as something called Acca Edge, which they’ve had as a great feature for a while now. And this is one promotion where you do get your money back as cash rather than a free bet. If one leg lets you down, you’ll get your stake back as cash, but by applying Acca Edge, your original odds will shorten slightly.
  6. Live MMA Betting Promos – This is very bookmaker specific as not many sportsbooks will offer an MMA bonus live in-play. An example, however, could be that a bookie will offer you a £10 free bet to use in-play if you bet pre-play on the same event.

How to Bet on MMA – What Does It All Mean?

If you’re already clued up on MMA betting in terms of what to look out for to understand the best possible odds, feel free to move on to the next section. If you need some betting tips, here are some useful pointers to look out for ahead of an MMA bout…

Betting on MMA – Some Useful Tips

  1. Stay up to date on training camp – try and find out the news of the fighter’s camp. If they’ve been training well then it might well be worth backing them. And on the flip side of that, if you find out they’ve been carrying some knocks or training’s not going as planned, it might be worth leaving the bet alone.
  2. How was the weight cut? – Fighters endure a gruelling weight cut at times, and there are certainly some health concerns around it. If you get wind of a bad weight cut from a fighter you want to back, tread very cautiously in terms of backing that fighter.
  3. Watch the weigh-ins – If you can of course. The weigh-ins, whether they’re UFC weigh-ins, Bellator weigh-ins or whatever, you can sometimes gain a better understanding of how a fighter is feeling and looking ahead of his or her fight the next day.
  4. Understand your fighter’s style – If they’re a boxer by trade, then it’s highly unlikely that they’re going to win via submission after wrestling on the floor for a while. Read up on your fighter and know their strengths and weaknesses. There are some good MMA betting odds to be had if you do your research.

MMA Betting Sites – Weight Classes Explained

Back in the day at UFC 4 as an example, there weren’t any weight classes. You could get a 250lb fighter in with a 150lb fighter. Nowadays, however, it’s a little bit more structured and, like boxing, there are weight divisions. Every organisation is slightly different, but using UFC as an example, there are 12 UFC weight classes or UFC weight divisions, it’s the same thing. Let’s break them down for you in a nice table…

UFC Weight Classes

Weight Class Min Weight Max Weight
Strawweight N/A 115 (52.2 kg)
Flyweight 116 (52.6kg) 125 (56.7 kg)
Women’s Flyweight 116 (52.6kg) 125 (56.7 kg)
Bantamweight 126 (57.1kg) 135 (61.2 kg)
Women’s Bantamweight 126 (57.1kg) 135 (61.2 kg)
Featherweight 136 (61.6kg) 145 (65.8 kg)
Women’s Featherweight 136 (61.6kg) 145 (65.8 kg)
Lightweight 146 (66.2kg) 155 (70.3 kg)
Welterweight 156 (70.7kg) 170 (77.1 kg)
Middleweight 171 (77.5kg) 185 (83.9 kg)
Light Heavyweight 186 (84.3kg) 205 (93.0 kg)
Heavyweight 206 (93.4kg) 265 (120.2 kg)

MMA Organisations

Even if you only know a tiny amount about MMA betting, you probably know of the UFC. It’s the main organisation in terms of worldwide TV exposure and sponsorships. It’s the place where a lot of young fighters dream of ending up. In the UFC. But there are literally hundreds of MMA organisations worldwide. Thankfully we’re only going to list the ones that you can bet on at MMA betting sites in the UK…

  • Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC)
  • Bellator MMA
  • Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki (KSW)
  • ONE Championship
  • Cage Warriors

As the sport of MMA grows in popularity, expect more and more bookies to offer odds on fights with more organisations than those listed above.

MMA Betting Odds Betting Sites – Conor McGregor Odds

Everyone knows that the rematch of McGregor vs Khabib will happen at some point, and bookies realise this too, which is why they have odds up for the rematch. It won’t be Conor McGregor’s next fight at the time of writing, but it will happen in the future.

Khabib just has too much for the Irishman. He can take all of Conor’s best shots, but we believe he won’t even allow Conor to get into a rhythm. We see it going exactly the same way as the first fight, no matter how better prepared McGregor might be.

The Different Types of MMA Bets

With fights that don’t feature popular fighters, you might only come across one or two core markets. The bigger fights and main events will have more markets, which include but are not limited to:

  • Bout Odds – Who will win. Two selections. Simple.
  • Round Betting – The same as boxing as in who will win and in which round.
  • Method of Victory – Pick and fighter and choose between, KO, TKO, Decision, DQ, or Submission.
  • What Round Will Fight End? – Pick a round. Some are three rounds and some are five rounds.
  • How Will Fight End? – A three selection market with the choice of KO/TKO, submission, or points.
  • Will Fight Go Distance? – A simple yes / no betting market.

Live Streaming MMA Betting Sites

BT Sport currently holds the rights for everything UFC, so you won’t be able to live stream UFC fights with any bookmaker’s I’m afraid. Until that deal changes, you’ll have to watch al UFC fights on TV.

It’s the same with Bellator. Their fights will be on TV only. As for any of the lesser organisations, these could well be available as a live stream, but it will be a case of checking the live streaming schedule of the bookie you want to bet with.

MMA In-Play Betting

Betting on MMA in-play is an experience. Especially if you’re not watching the action live. We wouldn’t advise betting blind. Even on TV, the markets are ahead by a second or two so don’t get caught out by someone that might even be betting at the event! Especially at UFC London, UFC Manchester, or UFC Liverpool. Or any of the Cage Warrior or Bellator events for that matter.

The top MMA betting sites will all have dedicated pages for live in-play betting on their desktop or mobile app, which leads us nicely on…

MMA Mobile Betting Apps

Every bookie needs a great mobile betting app. Why? Well, if you don’t have one then many will consider you inferior to those that do. Thankfully, all of the best betting sites in the UK have one. And we can fault any of them in all honesty. They’re all slightly different in how they work so it really does just come to personal preference at the end of the day. Especially when you’re trying to decide between the very best bookies, there’s not much to separate them at all.

888sport is a good example of a top bookie with a great mobile betting app. And LeoVegas Sport actually, theirs is very slick too. Did we mention you can enjoy £30 in free bets with 888Sport too? They offer a bet 10 get 30 welcome bonus. If you’ve not got an account, why not grab it today? You can claim it on your mobile or tablet too.

MMA Betting Sites FAQs

Unibet state proudly on their site that they have the best UFC and MMA odds in the industry. They’re a truthful bunch so who are we to argue with that. If you’re looking for the best MMA odds, Unibet is your port of call. If you don’t fancy Unibet, anyone from our list above will offer competitive MMA odds.

Not if you’re referring to UFC or Bellator. You cannot live stream either of these events as they’ve got special TV deals. Some are even PPV so there’s no chance of ever live streaming a PPV event. You may be able to live stream some fights for lesser organisations, but check the live in-play schedule beforehand if you want to bet on the fight in-play.

The UFC is an MMA organisation. Fighters fight under the UFC brand against other fighters who have contracts with the UFC. You cannot fight for another organisation unless your contract with who you’re at currently ends.

It’s tough to pick out one that is head and shoulders above the rest as some bookies will offer enhanced odds for one fight and another bookie will offer better odds for another. It’s certainly worth looking at our best betting sites page so that you can snap up the best bonuses around ahead of a UFC or Bellator weekend. However, if we were pushed for an answer, we’d say that Unibet should definitely be considered as your MMA betting choice.
