A mammoth in the online betting world, if you haven’t heard of bet365, then where have you been? Easily one of the biggest and best online betting sites out there in a world where there are many. This bet365 review takes an honest and transparent look at the bet365 sports betting product, from their bonuses and promotions, through to the sports they offer, the payment methods available and how easily you can bet with them on mobile.
Unlike most reviews, this bet365 review is written from the perspective of two different people as we want to give as much accuracy as possible. Firstly, we asked a new customer to give us their experience of signing up with bet365, whilst we then have a long term bet365 customer with over 8 years of experience with the brand. This gives us a transparent review of one of the best betting sites in the UK and allows you to make a more informed choice.
bet365 – the Top Five Features
- Massive range of sports markets
- PayPal was available to me for depositing/withdrawing as an existing player
- I was offered up to £30 in bet credits
- The product on mobile and desktop was super slick
- Amazing on football betting
The bet365 Open Account Offer – Up to £30 in Bet Credits
As a recent new customer to bet365, I found the registration process really simple and, as has been my experience since very user-friendly. I was actually given the opportunity to take advantage of an ‘open account offer’ with bet365 too where I could get up to £30 of bet credits.
Whilst it may not be the same for everybody who signs up, in my experience, this is one of the best online betting bonuses that I’ve come across. It has really fair terms and conditions and is extremely generous when compared to other betting site offers.
All I needed to do, in my personal experience, was to make an initial deposit and place a £10 qualifying bet. Once this was done I got £30 in bet credits to complete my offer.
It’s important to note here that PayPal is not available to new players, though, only existing ones.

bet365 have a Range of Sports Betting Promotions for Existing Customers
As a long-term betting player at bet365 I’ve personally seen a huge range of betting promotions and betting bonuses over the years. However, unlike most online betting sites, bet365 seem to have more structure and more longevity to their bonuses and don’t change them constantly to fit a trend or fad.
For example, one of my favourite bonuses that I have personally received has been the ‘bet up to £50 pre-match and get up to £50 in-play bet credit’ for specific football matches – often the biggest matches around. As a big fan of in-play betting, this suits me down to the ground, but I don’t think it’s offered to everybody.
The bet365 Bore Draw Money Back Offer is an Excellent Promotion
If you’re like me and love football, then this offer from bet365 really helps you get over a boring 0-0 scoreline. I experienced this offer when betting on the Premier League at bet365 and wanted to share it within this bet365 review as I thought it was really excellent.
If you’ve bet on the correct score, scorecast or halftime/fulltime markets on a football match, and it ends up finishing 0-0, then bet365 will actually refund your stake, so that you don’t lose on it. Again a generous betting offer from bet365, but again there are some terms that you need to be aware of for the Bore Draw Money Back Offer as explained by bet365 themselves:
“Place a pre-match bet on ANY of bet365’s Correct Score, Half-Time/Full-Time or Scorecast markets for ANY Soccer match, and if the game finishes 0-0, your stake will be refunded if your bet loses.
This offer will not apply where a stake has been fully Cashed Out. Where a stake has been partially Cashed Out, and the match finishes 0-0, only the remaining active stake will be refunded. If a qualifying bet is edited using the Edit Bet feature prior to kick-off and the match finishes 0-0, only the new stake will be refunded. Where a bet has been edited to include or amend a selection for an event that is In-Play, the offer will no longer apply.
T&Cs apply. Only available to new and eligible customers.”
Horse Racing at bet365 is Great with their ITV Racing 4/1 Offer
Football isn’t the only sport that bet365 excel at, they’re also brilliant for horse racing betting markets and horse racing promotions, such as their excellent ITV Racing 4/1 offer that I experienced. This sees you get a risk-free bet up to £50 if you back any winner at 4/1 or more on a live race, broadcast on ITV Racing.
So not only did I already win one race, but I received the chance to win another without using my own funds. Of course, there’s plenty of significant terms involved with the ITV Racing 4/1 Offer – so here’s bet365 to talk you through them:
“Back any single winner at 4/1 or more on any race televised live on ITV Racing and you can have a risk free bet to the same stake (up to £50*) on the next race broadcast live on ITV Racing. This offer applies to the FIRST single bet placed by a customer on each race shown live on ITV Racing.
If your risk free bet also wins at odds of 4/1 or more, you qualify for a risk free bet on the next race televised live on ITV Racing. Keep backing those winners and bet365 will keep giving you risk free bets! If your risk free bet loses, your stake (up to £50*) will be refunded to your account.
This offer will not apply where a stake has been fully Cashed Out. Where a stake has been partially Cashed Out, any refund amount or subsequent risk free bet amount will be equal to the remaining active stake. If a qualifying bet is edited using our Edit Bet feature, any refund amount will be equal to the new stake and not the original stake.
Where a risk free bet is changed using Edit Bet, no refund will be given and the offer will no longer apply. Where more than one selection in the same race is placed on the same bet slip, the first selection is deemed to be the one which is highest on the bet slip. Offer applies to bets placed on Win and Each-Way Fixed Odds markets and Enhanced Place Terms markets only. All other markets, including adjusted place terms (Each Way Extra), Ante-Post bets and Tote/Pari-Mutuel (bets and dividends), are excluded from this offer.
Bets must be placed in the usual way and can be paid for from either your Withdrawable Balance. Bets placed from your Withdrawable Balance will be refunded to your Withdrawable Balance.
*or currency equivalent
T&Cs apply. Only available to new and eligible customers”
The bet365 Sports Betting Experience – one of the Best Betting Products out there
Over the last 8 years or so that I’ve been a betting customer with bet365, I’ve seen plenty of changes. However, it’s a testament to them as a betting site that it hasn’t changed drastically like some other bookies, because, frankly, it didn’t have to. Everything is very functional and is built to work.
It’s fair to say that when bet365 decide to do something, they decide to do it well. They steer clear of gimmicks and quick wins with the product, to ensure that the core betting product works.
My personal experience has been fantastic, and they offer me over 35 different sports to bet on, along with the biggest array of betting markets. It’s also super easy to navigate through the site with a great search function to make things really easy, the general set-up and navigation make sense too, even if it is a little dated in design compared to others.
There are some things that other betting sites just don’t do, or just get wrong if they do – things like being able to deposit quickly, having a smart and editable betslip and cashing out simply. All the stuff that makes your life betting on sports in the UK a lot easier.
Bet365’s Tennis Bet Builder is Fantastic
One of the newer product features I’ve come across at bet365 is their Tennis Bet Builder. I enjoy betting on tennis, so this is a great feature in my opinion. Adding six different selections to your betslip to create your own unique bet? Great. You can choose from many markets, including:
- To Win Match
- Set Betting
- Total Games
- Handicap – Games Won
- First Set Winner
- 1st Set Total Games
- 1st Set Game Score
- First Break Of Serve
- Player To Win A Set
- To Win in Straight Sets
I add up to six selections and my odds are automatically calculated for me. Cash out is also available if I want it. Of course, like any betting promotion or betting product, there are T&Cs attached. I found them to be more than reasonable and straightforward. Check out their site if you want to know more about the bet365 Tennis Bet Builder.
Live Streaming with bet365 – I Love this Betting Feature
A lot of the biggest betting sites have live streaming, but no one has as much volume of events as bet365 in my personal experience. As long as you make a qualifying bet, you can watch a great number of tennis matches, football matches, horse races, and various other sports through their live streaming service.
When I said that bet365 do things the right way, this is what I meant, as their live streaming service is easily one of the best out there, in my opinion. However, I must let bet365 explain it better for you:
“To add to the In-Play excitement, bet365 stream over 140,000 events live to your PC every year – so you can bet as the action unfolds. Highlights include Masters Series Tennis tournaments and matches from some of the top domestic Soccer leagues in the world. To use the Live Streaming service you will need to be logged in and have a funded account or to have placed a bet in the last 24 hours. Any fixture/event on our website which has the Play or Video icon next to it is scheduled to be shown via Live Streaming.”
Depositing and Withdrawing Funds with bet365 – Some Classic Payment Options
Even as a long-term bettor with bet365, I haven’t used all of the payment options available to me as I’m largely a creature of habit. In fact, I’ve only used two payment methods – debit cards and PayPal and both work fantastically well.
When I login to my account though and look at the different options that I am offered, it’s fair to say it’s a solid list – I’ve listed some of the more important online sportsbook payment methods for bet365 below for you. Of course, you may not be offered exactly the same methods that I am, so do check when you register with bet365.
- Debit Card
- PayPal (no longer available to new players)
- Apple Pay
- G-PayPaysafecard
- Wire Transfer
- Cheque
I Could Deposit at bet365 with PayPal
For me, as a regular sports betting player, PayPal is the best payment method I could wish for. Super-fast for depositing and withdrawing funds and offers loads of security, as well as having decent limits available.
A betting site, in my opinion, is not a great one unless it’s a PayPal betting site – in that they offer it as a payment method. It’s no surprise to me that bet365 offered me this option. However, it’s no longer an option for new players, so you can only use it if you’ve already got an account with them.
Using bet365 on Mobile – One of the Best iOS Betting Apps
I largely use bet365 on my mobile as most people would. I only have an iPhone so can’t comment on Android apps, but I am happy to report that the bet365 iOS app and the bet365 mobile web experience are both excellent products.
They follow on well from the desktop version in that, again, everything works as expected – at speed and to high functionality levels. Of course, the navigation is very easy too and just as simple to find the event you want.
There’s no specific bet365 mobile betting bonus that I’ve experienced – rather all bonuses apply across mobile and desktop.
I Found bet365 Trustworthy and Responsible
In my personal opinion, the reality with betting sites is that they don’t get to where bet365 are, without being a legitimate and fair online bookie. They’re not a fly-by-night operation, they’re one of the world’s biggest betting companies.
When I login, I can see plenty of responsible gambling measures in place – from deposit limits to helpline advice, and thankfully I’ve never had to use them.
My experience using bet365 has seen me having to verify my account for what they call KYC purposes (Know Your Customer) – whilst it’s frustrating to have to prove who I am, it’s obvious that they do this to meet their own high standards of protecting players, which ultimately I’m all for.
Finally, it’s very clear to me, that they are licenced by the UK Gambling Commission – this should be the first thing you look for on a betting site. Any site accepting you as a player, without this in place, are most certainly rogue.
Using the bet365 Customer Support Function – Very Fast and Informative
I’ll be honest, I haven’t had to use the bet365 customer support facility very often. When choosing a betting site, it’s always great if you don’t have to contact them as it means they’re not causing any issues. Another reason that I have only spoken with them occasionally is because they do have a decent set of FAQs on the site if you can find them. Loads of pre-answered questions can be found here and it’s helped me out on a number of occasions.
On the odd time that I have spoken with them, I have only ever used the live chat function. One time was because I wanted to clarify how a particular bonus worked and the other time that I can remember, I was struggling to add a new debit card to my account. On both occasions, it’s fair to say that the representative dealt with it quickly and answered all issues.
In Conclusion – bet365 is One of my Favourite Online Betting Sites
I think it’s clear that my personal experience of bet365 has been great, whilst our new customer’s experience of the up to £100 in bet credits was also excellent. If this is on offer to you, and there’s no reason for it not to be, then we have to fully recommend bet365 as a great betting site in the UK. Throw in a slick and functional product, hundreds of betting markets across loads of sports, and brilliant betting apps, and we’re sure you can see why we recommend them.
